Answers from your own data
Axe reads your transactions, budgets, cash flow, net worth, portfolios and FIRE projection through 32 typed tools — up to 8 steps per question — and can draw the answer as a chart. You never paste your finances into a chat box.
It proposes, you decide
Creating, editing, deleting, bulk re-categorising, linking a transfer — each one arrives as an action preview you approve or reject. Axe cannot write to your account on its own, ever.
Private by design
Conversations are encrypted at rest (AES-GCM) and deleted automatically after 12 months of inactivity. Answers are generated on the paid Google Gemini API tier, where submitted data is not used to train Google's models. Read-only guests in spectator mode have no access to Axe.
Included in every plan
Axe is not a paid add-on. Every plan carries its own daily message allowance, and the in-app meter always shows how much of it you have left.

How a question becomes an answer
You ask in plain language
No filters, no report builder, no date pickers. You type the question the way you would ask a person.
Axe picks the tools it needs
It calls typed tools against your account — searching transactions, summarising spending, checking net worth — and shows you which one it is running. The loop is capped at 8 steps, so it always ends in an answer instead of spinning.
You get your own numbers back
The answer is built from your data, with the figures spelled out. When a chart says it better, Axe draws one inline; when the answer lives on a screen, it offers to take you there.
Any change arrives as a proposal
If the answer involves editing your data, Axe stops and shows an action preview with the exact values. Nothing happens until you approve it.
What Axe can change — and how you stay in control
Five of the 32 tools write. Each one produces a preview card you approve or reject:
- Create a transaction — expense or earning, with amount, date, description and category.
- Edit an existing transaction.
- Delete transactions, with the full list shown before you confirm.
- Change the category of many transactions at once.
- Link two transactions as a transfer between your own accounts.
Axe cannot execute any of these on its own. There is no setting that turns the confirmation off, and read-only guests viewing your account in spectator mode cannot reach Axe at all.
What happens to your data
- Conversations are stored encrypted at rest (AES-GCM), like the rest of your financial data.
- They are deleted automatically after 12 months of inactivity — and you can delete any conversation yourself, at any moment.
- To generate answers, the conversation and the data fragments needed for it go to Google's Gemini API, acting as our processor. We use the paid API tier, where submitted data is not used to train Google's models.
- Spectator sessions — the read-only view you can share with someone else — are blocked from Axe entirely, so a guest can never read your conversations or spend your daily quota.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Axe included in my plan or is it a paid add-on?
It is included in every plan — only the daily message allowance differs: 50 a day on Enthusiast Investor, 200 on Experienced Investor and 1,000 on Investment Shark. The 14-day trial gets 200 a day, the same as the mid tier, so you can judge the assistant properly before paying anything. The in-app meter always shows how much of today's allowance you have used.
Can Axe change my data without asking me?
No. Axe has five tools that write — creating, editing and deleting transactions, changing categories in bulk, and linking transfers — and every one of them stops the conversation with an action preview showing the exact values. Nothing is saved until you approve it, and there is no setting that skips that step.
What can Axe actually see?
The parts of your account needed to answer the question you asked: transactions, categories, budgets, cash flow, net worth, liabilities, portfolios and assets, plus market data for the instruments you hold. It reaches them through typed tools, not raw database access, and it never sees your bank credentials or integration keys.
Does Google train its models on my conversations?
No. Answers are generated through the paid tier of the Google Gemini API, where data submitted through the API is not used to train Google's models. Google acts as our data processor for this feature; the arrangement is described in our Privacy Policy.
If Axe fails to answer, does it still use up my daily limit?
No. The daily counter is incremented only after a successful answer, so a failed or errored turn does not consume your quota.
Is Axe giving me investment advice?
No. Axe is informational: it describes and analyses data that is already in your account. Responses are generated automatically and may contain errors, and they do not constitute investment advice or a recommendation within the meaning of financial-instrument regulations.
