Which ETFs Can You Buy on Trade Republic in 2026? The Catalog Nobody Can Check
Trade Republic publishes no ETF catalog — and its own help centre gives two different counts (900 vs 2,000+) on two live articles. What is verifiable: ETF orders left Lang & Schwarz on 2 July 2026 for Best Price and €2 Direct Price across 30 exchanges, €1 settlement per trade, €0 savings plans from €1, 17 countries.

Quick Answer
Trade Republic publishes no public ETF catalog, so nobody outside the app can hand you a verified list — including us. Its own help centre disagrees with itself: one live article says "You can trade more than 2,000 ETFs on indices, commodities and currencies", another says "more than 900 ETFs". Both were live on 8 September 2026, and the difference is per article, not per country — we pulled both texts from the German and the Slovak locale and got the same split. In-app search by ISIN is the only source of truth.
What is verifiable changed the answer more than any list would. On 2 July 2026 Trade Republic moved ETF execution off the Lang & Schwarz Exchange. Orders now run through Best Price — Trade Republic's algorithm compares real-time quotes across reference exchanges and executes against Trade Republic itself, at no cost beyond the standard €1 external settlement fee — or through Direct Price, which routes your order to one of about 30 exchanges (Xetra, Euronext, Nasdaq) for €2 per order, whatever the size. Help-centre pages that still name Lang & Schwarz as the ETF venue are stale; L&S now appears only for EUR bonds.
The rest of the economics: no order commission at any order size, no securities-account fee, no minimum investment, and savings plans that cost nothing to execute from €1, buying fractions automatically. Trade Republic onboards residents of 17 countries. Poland is not one of them.
What changed on 2 July 2026
Trade Republic launched new trading technology and stopped routing stock and ETF orders through a single partner venue. This is the fact most "Trade Republic ETF list 2026" articles still miss.
| Before | Since 2 July 2026 | |
|---|---|---|
| ETF execution venue | Lang & Schwarz Exchange (LSX) | Best Price against Trade Republic, across relevant reference exchanges |
| Choosing a venue yourself | Not offered | Direct Price — ~30 exchanges incl. Xetra, Euronext, Nasdaq |
| Cost of Best Price | — | €0 beyond the €1 settlement fee |
| Cost of Direct Price | — | €2 per order, regardless of order size |
| Lang & Schwarz today | ETF and stock venue | EUR bonds and fixed interest only |
The trigger was regulatory: the EU's ban on payment for order flow took effect on 30 June 2026, and a Trade Republic subsidiary had already received a BaFin licence to operate a multilateral trading facility on 23 January 2026. Order-book data for both the aggregated book and the individual exchanges is provided free.
The two numbers Trade Republic gives for its own catalog
Two help-centre articles with the same title answer the same question differently. We fetched each article in two locales on 8 September 2026:
| Help-centre article | What it says | German locale | Slovak locale |
|---|---|---|---|
| Article 42, "Which ETFs can I trade at Trade Republic?" | "more than 2,000 ETFs on indices, commodities and currencies" | ✅ confirmed | ✅ confirmed |
| Article 1429, same title | "more than 900 ETFs on indices, commodities and currencies" | ✅ confirmed | ✅ confirmed |
So the split tracks the article, not your country — a stale page that was never retired, rather than a smaller catalog for smaller markets. Both articles also still describe Lang & Schwarz as the ETF partner, which the order-execution page contradicts. Treat every ETF count you read about Trade Republic, ours included, as unverifiable marketing until you search the app.
What an ETF actually costs here
| Item | Cost | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Order commission | €0 | "regardless of the order size" |
| External settlement cost | €1 per transaction | Plus spreads and third-party costs |
| Direct Price surcharge | €2 per order | Only if you pick the exchange yourself |
| Securities-account / custody fee | €0 | No negative interest, no minimum investment |
| Savings-plan execution | €0 | The €1 applies only when you sell units |
| Minimum for fractional investing | €1 | Selected stocks, ETFs and bonds |
The savings plan is the standout: a monthly buy costs nothing at all, not even the €1, because the settlement charge is levied on sales. Plans execute on the 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd of the month when the exchange is open. That undercuts DEGIRO, where every Core Selection trade carries a €1 handling fee and there is no automated investing at all, and it matches Scalable Capital on price.
The ETFs people search for — and what we can honestly confirm
Fund identities and TERs below were re-checked on justETF on 8 September 2026. The availability column is deliberately empty of green ticks.
| You searched for | Fund | ISIN | TER | Confirmed on Trade Republic? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| VWCE | Vanguard FTSE All-World (Acc) | IE00BK5BQT80 | 0.14% | Unverified — no primary source exists |
| CSPX / SXR8 | iShares Core S&P 500 (Acc) | IE00B5BMR087 | 0.07% | Unverified |
| VUAA | Vanguard S&P 500 (Acc) | IE00BFMXXD54 | 0.07% | Unverified |
| IWDA / SWDA / EUNL | iShares Core MSCI World (Acc) | IE00B4L5Y983 | 0.20% | Unverified |
| EIMI / IS3N | iShares Core MSCI EM IMI (Acc) | IE00BKM4GZ66 | 0.18% | Unverified |
| FWRA / FWIA | Invesco FTSE All-World (Acc) | IE000716YHJ7 | 0.15% | Unverified |
| AGGH / EUNA | iShares Core Global Aggregate Bond EUR Hedged (Acc) | IE00BDBRDM35 | 0.10% | Unverified |
"Unverified" does not mean "absent" — these are the most widely held UCITS ETFs in Europe and secondary sources list most of them at Trade Republic. It means no first-party source exists to cite. Trade Republic has no public per-ISIN pages, and the third-party database usually quoted for this is owned by Scalable Capital's parent — a direct competitor. We are not passing a rival's data off as confirmation. At Interactive Brokers the same seven funds can be checked against a public product database in seconds; that is the difference in disclosure, not in quality.
How to check your own ETF in the app
- Search the ISIN, not the ticker. ISINs are unique; tickers are not. The iShares Core S&P 500 is CSPX in London and SXR8 on Xetra — one fund, one ISIN, two symbols.
- Check the venue picker. Best Price is the default; Direct Price shows which of the ~30 exchanges are open for that instrument.
- Check savings-plan eligibility separately. Being tradable and being savings-plan eligible are two different flags, and the free-execution deal only applies to the plan.
- Re-check after July 2026 articles. Anything describing Lang & Schwarz as your ETF venue predates the change.
Who can open an account
Trade Republic serves 17 countries: Germany, Austria, France (including French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mayotte, Réunion and Saint-Martin), Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Finland, Ireland, Greece, Portugal, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia and Slovakia.
Residents elsewhere in the EU — Poland, Czechia, Croatia and the Nordics beyond Finland — need a pan-European broker instead. Our EU ETF broker comparison covers the alternatives that onboard from most of the bloc.

Is VWCE available on Trade Republic?
Almost certainly, but no first-party source proves it. Trade Republic publishes no per-ISIN pages, so the Vanguard FTSE All-World (ISIN IE00BK5BQT80, TER 0.14%) cannot be confirmed from outside the app. Secondary databases list it as tradable with a free savings plan, and it is among the most widely held ETFs in Europe — but the only authoritative check is searching IE00BK5BQT80 in the app. We would rather say "unverified" than publish a green tick we cannot stand behind.
How many ETFs does Trade Republic have?
Its own help centre gives two answers. Article 42 says "more than 2,000 ETFs on indices, commodities and currencies"; article 1429 says "more than 900". Both were live on 8 September 2026 in both locales we checked, so this is a stale page rather than a per-country difference. Marketing pages elsewhere quote 2,400 and 2,500. No externally checkable catalog exists, so none of these figures can be confirmed.
Does Trade Republic still use Lang & Schwarz?
For ETFs and stocks, no — not since 2 July 2026. Trade Republic's order-execution page now describes Best Price, which executes against Trade Republic across relevant reference exchanges, and Direct Price, which routes to a chosen venue. Lang & Schwarz Exchange remains the venue for EUR bonds and fixed interest only. Some help-centre ETF articles still name it as the partner; those pages are out of date.
What does an ETF trade cost on Trade Republic in 2026?
€1. There is no order commission regardless of order size — you pay a €1 external settlement cost per transaction, covering clearing and settlement, plus spreads and third-party costs. If you use Direct Price to pick an exchange yourself, add €2 per order, again regardless of size. There is no securities-account fee and no minimum investment amount.
Are Trade Republic savings plans really free?
To buy, yes. There are no fees for the execution of savings plans, and the €1 external settlement cost applies only when you sell units — so a monthly ETF purchase costs €0 on top of the fund's TER. The minimum is €1 and fractions are bought automatically, so the full amount is invested. Plans run on the 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd of the month when the exchange is open, and can start on the 2nd or the 16th.
Can I buy fractional ETFs outside a savings plan?
Yes. Fractional trading covers selected stocks, ETFs and bonds, with a €1 minimum, and works for one-off orders rather than savings plans alone. Most instruments eligible for savings plans also qualify for fractional investing. This is a genuine difference from Scalable Capital, where fractions exist only inside savings plans, and from DEGIRO, which trades whole shares only.
Which countries can open a Trade Republic account?
Seventeen: Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Finland, Ireland, Greece, Portugal, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia and Slovakia. France's coverage extends to French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Mayotte, Réunion and Saint-Martin. Polish, Czech, Croatian and most Nordic residents cannot open an account and need a pan-EU broker.
How this page was verified
Every fee, feature and country in the tables above comes from Trade Republic's own help centre, read on 8 September 2026:
- Commission and the €1 settlement cost; the €0 account fee and absence of a minimum.
- Savings-plan costs and execution dates; the €1 fractional-investing minimum.
- The 17-country list, and the order-execution page describing Best Price and Direct Price.
The 2 July 2026 launch, the €2 Direct Price and the ~30 exchanges come from Trade Republic's own press release of that date. The BaFin multilateral-trading-facility licence of 23 January 2026 and the 30 June 2026 payment-for-order-flow ban are reported facts, not company claims.
The conflicting ETF counts were established by fetching help-centre articles 42 and 1429 in both the German and the Slovak locale and comparing the sentences — the reason we can say the split is per article and not per country. Fund names, ISINs and TERs were re-checked on justETF the same day.
Deliberately not claimed: that any specific ETF is tradable at Trade Republic, which venues are open for a given fund under Direct Price, which instruments are savings-plan eligible, and any catalog size. None of those can be sourced from outside the app, and this page would rather be short a table than wrong in one.
