Which ETFs Can You Buy on Interactive Brokers in 2026? VWCE, CSPX, IWDA, EIMI, AGGH Checked
IBKR's UCITS ETF catalog machine-verified against its public product database: VWCE, CSPX, SXR8, VUAA, IWDA, EIMI, FWRA and AGGH all confirmed — plus the real costs: 0.05% commission (min €1.25, max €29 on Xetra), 0.002% FX, no custody fee, and when the €1.25 minimum makes IBKR pricier than the zero-commission apps.

Quick Answer
Interactive Brokers carries every mainstream UCITS ETF European investors search for: VWCE, CSPX, SXR8, VUAA, IWDA/SWDA, EIMI, FWRA and AGGH (as EUNA) — all eight machine-verified on 25 August 2026 against IBKR's own public product database, no account needed. That includes AGGH, the global aggregate bond fund — publicly confirmable at only one other broker in our comparison (DEGIRO, via its published list). EU residents trade through Interactive Brokers Ireland (regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland) on Pro pricing: 0.05% per trade, minimum €1.25, capped at €29 on Xetra, with the industry's cheapest currency conversion at 0.002% (min $2) and no custody, inactivity or minimum-balance fees. The honest catch: the famous "$0 commissions" of IBKR Lite is US-residents-only, and the €1.25 minimum means a €100 monthly buy costs 1.25% in commission — below roughly €2,500 per order, zero-commission brokers are proportionally cheaper; above it, IBKR's percentage pricing and €29 cap take over.
The ETFs people actually search for
Every row below was verified on 25 August 2026 by querying Interactive Brokers' public product database (the same secdef endpoint IBKR's own platform uses), which returns each instrument's listing exchange and all routable order books. This is the only broker in our comparison whose catalog can be machine-checked from outside — no app, no account.
| Ticker | Fund | ISIN | TER | Confirmed at IBKR |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| VWCE | Vanguard FTSE All-World (global, Acc) | IE00BK5BQT80 | 0.14% | EUR contract listed on Xetra, routable also via Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Milan, gettex and Tradegate; LSE GBP line VWRP |
| CSPX / SXR8 | iShares Core S&P 500 (Acc) — one fund, two lines | IE00B5BMR087 | 0.07% | CSPX (LSE, USD — also routes to SIX and Swiss MTFs); SXR8 (Xetra, EUR) |
| VUAA | Vanguard S&P 500 (Acc) | IE00BFMXXD54 | 0.07% | LSE (USD). The Xetra EUR line was not checked — verify in-app if you need it |
| IWDA / SWDA | iShares Core MSCI World (developed, Acc) | IE00B4L5Y983 | 0.20% | IWDA (EUR contract listed on Amsterdam, routable via Xetra — there is no separate "EUNL" symbol at IBKR); SWDA (LSE, GBP) |
| EIMI / EMIM | iShares Core MSCI EM IMI (emerging, Acc) | IE00BKM4GZ66 | 0.18% | EIMI (LSE, USD — also routes to SIX); EMIM (EUR contract on Amsterdam, routable via Xetra and Milan) |
| FWRA | Invesco FTSE All-World (global, Acc) | IE000716YHJ7 | 0.15% | Two contracts: LSE USD line, plus a EUR line listed on Borsa Italiana and routable via Xetra and gettex |
| AGGH / EUNA | iShares Core Global Aggregate Bond EUR Hedged (Acc) | IE00BDBRDM35 | 0.10% | EUR contract (ticker EUNA) listed on Xetra, routable also via Amsterdam, SIX and Milan |
TERs come from the fund issuers via justETF profile pages. The AGGH row is worth pausing on: at Trading 212 the only public evidence is from 2022, and at Revolut nothing can be confirmed from outside the app — IBKR and DEGIRO (whose published Core Selection list carries the fund as EUNA) are the two places this bond fund's availability is publicly checkable.
One contract, many exchanges — IBKR doesn't make you pick a "line" the hard way
IBKR models each fund as one contract per currency, SMART-routed across every connected order book — so you don't pick an exchange "line" the way you do at app brokers, and choosing "wrong" never costs an FX fee within the same currency.
Example: the EUR contract for the iShares Core MSCI World fund (shown as IWDA) lists Amsterdam as its home exchange but routes to Xetra, gettex, Tradegate, Frankfurt and Milan — you buy "the fund in EUR" and IBKR hunts the best price across all of them. That's why you won't find an "EUNL" ticker at IBKR even though the Xetra order book is directly reachable: it's the same EUR contract.
Practically: pick the contract in the currency you hold (EUR contracts for a EUR account), and let SMART routing handle the venue. If you specifically want the USD lines (CSPX, VUAA, EIMI on the LSE), converting first costs 0.002% — see the fee math below.
What Interactive Brokers charges
All figures read from IBKR's own pricing pages on 25 August 2026. EU residents are onboarded by Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited (Central Bank of Ireland, ref. C423427; member of the Irish Investor Compensation Scheme).
| Fee | Amount |
|---|---|
| ETF commission (Tiered, Xetra) | 0.05% of trade value, min €1.25, max €29 |
| ETF commission (Tiered, LSE) | 0.05% of trade value, min £1.00 |
| ETF commission (Fixed/SMART, Xetra) | 0.05%, min €3.00, no cap |
| Fractional-share orders (Tiered) | 0.05%, min €1.25 |
| Currency conversion | 0.002% of trade value, min $2.00, at interbank rates |
| Custody / maintenance / minimum balance | €0 / €0 / €0 |
| Inactivity fee | none |
Third-party exchange and regulatory fees are passed through where they exist under Tiered pricing; the schedule prints them per venue.
The minimum-commission math decides who IBKR is for. 0.05% only starts to apply above €2,500 per order — below that you pay the €1.25 floor: 1.25% on a €100 buy, 0.25% on a €500 buy, 0.05% from €2,500 up. At the other end the Xetra cap kicks in: a €100,000 VWCE order costs €29 (0.029%) — the cheapest large-order execution in our EU ETF broker comparison. Zero-commission apps win the €100-a-month game; IBKR wins from a few thousand per order upward, and its 0.002% FX (vs 0.5% at XTB or 0.15% at Trading 212) is unmatched whenever currency conversion is involved — with one caveat: the $2 minimum makes tiny conversions proportionally expensive too, so convert in chunks, not per-trade driblets.
Fractional shares and Recurring Investments — now on European ETFs too
Two things changed since most older reviews were written:
- Fractional trading covers European instruments. IBKR's fractional-shares page states you can invest "as little as USD 1 in eligible U.S., Canadian, or European stocks", and the European commission schedules print explicit fractional-order pricing (0.05%, min €1.25 on Xetra). Eligibility is per-instrument — the order ticket shows whether your fund accepts fractions.
- Recurring Investments covers European shares. IBKR's own feature page now says you "select from available US, Canadian and European shares" on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule, executed via fractional shares shortly after market open. Whether a specific UCITS ETF is eligible shows when you set the plan up in-app. Full mechanics and the tax angle are in our IBKR Recurring Investments guide.
For a small monthly DCA the commission floor still applies per execution — €1.25 on a €250 monthly plan is 0.5% per buy. Batching to quarterly buys of €750+ pulls that under 0.17%.

Is VWCE available on Interactive Brokers?
Yes — confirmed against IBKR's public product database on 25 August 2026. The EUR contract is listed on Xetra and SMART-routes across Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Milan, gettex and Tradegate; the LSE GBP line trades as VWRP. From a EUR balance, buying the EUR contract involves no currency conversion at all.
Can I buy CSPX on IBKR, or only SXR8?
Both. CSPX (LSE, USD) and SXR8 (Xetra, EUR) are separate contracts for the same iShares Core S&P 500 fund (ISIN IE00B5BMR087, TER 0.07%). Holding EUR, the practical choice is SXR8 with no conversion; if you prefer the USD line, converting EUR→USD first costs 0.002% (min $2) — far below the 0.15–0.5% FX fees at app brokers.
Is IBKR Lite with $0 commissions available in Europe?
No — IBKR's own pricing pages mark the $0-commission Lite plan as available to US residents only. EU residents open an account with Interactive Brokers Ireland on Pro pricing: 0.05% per trade with a €1.25 minimum (Tiered) and the €29 Xetra cap. There are still no custody, inactivity or minimum-balance fees on that plan.
Does Interactive Brokers charge custody or inactivity fees?
No. IBKR's pricing overview states $0 minimum balance, $0 maintenance fee, and "IBKR charges no custody fees" (third parties may charge their own, passed through). The inactivity fee was abolished years ago — an idle account costs nothing to keep.
What's the minimum to start buying ETFs on IBKR?
There's no account minimum, and fractional trading works from about $1/€1 on eligible European instruments — but the commission floor of €1.25 per Tiered order is the real minimum to respect: on a €50 buy it's 2.5% lost to commission, on €500 it's 0.25%, and from €2,500 the percentage rate (0.05%) takes over. Small-ticket investors get better unit economics at zero-commission brokers; the crossover favors IBKR as order sizes grow.
Is AGGH (global aggregate bond ETF) on Interactive Brokers?
Yes — the EUR-hedged accumulating class (ISIN IE00BDBRDM35) is confirmed as ticker EUNA, listed on Xetra and routable via Amsterdam, SIX and Milan, machine-verified 25 August 2026. IBKR and DEGIRO (whose published Core Selection list also carries EUNA, at €1 per trade) are the only brokers in our comparison where this fund's availability can be publicly verified — everywhere else it's an in-app check.
How this page was verified
Availability rows were pulled on 25 August 2026 from Interactive Brokers' public product database — the secdef endpoint on interactivebrokers.com that returns, for each contract ID, the listing exchange and every routable order book. Unlike screenshots or reviewer lists, this is the same data IBKR's platform itself serves, and anyone can re-run the check without an account.
Fees come from IBKR's commissions pages (stocks/ETFs, spot currencies) and pricing overview, fetched the same day; the EU entity and regulator from interactivebrokers.ie; TERs from fund issuers via justETF.
Deliberately not claimed: the Xetra EUR line of VUAA (only the LSE line was queried), per-instrument fractional and Recurring-Investments eligibility (IBKR flags both in the order ticket, not on public pages), and market-data subscription costs, which vary by exchange bundle. Where a fact couldn't be pinned to a primary source, it isn't on this page.
